The champions of selected conferences are contractually committed to certain bowls, unless they are No. 1 or No. 2. (ACC: Orange; Big Ten: Rose; Big 12: Fiesta; Pac-10: Rose; SEC: Sugar).
If a Bowl loses a host team to the title game, then the bowl gets first choice at a replacement team. The rest of the selection order is as follows: Orange, Fiesta, Sugar.
Poor Percy, I can't even imagine what he must have gone through, and I'm sure it must have killed him to miss the USC game. Migraines are horrible things.
Nick Saban is extremely insensitive and moronic to reference 9/11 and Pearl Harbor as motivational tools to get his team to rebound from their atrocious loss.
There is still an outside shot at the Sugar Bowl if UGA plays LSU for the SECCG and LSU wins.
ReplyDeleteWould we go or would Tenn go?
ReplyDeleteWell Tenn has to lose for Georgia to go to the SECCG so we would.

Al Horford is 13th in the NBA in rebounds and he comes off the bench. Haslem is 16th. Look out!!!
That's some good stats for my Noah. And our college team isn't doing so bad either. We're acutally looking pretty good so far this year.
