ESPN's telecast of the Heisman Trophy presentation last Saturday was the cable network's most-viewed ever in households and total viewers, and tied for the highest-rated as the University of Florida sophomore quarterback won the coveted award.
Freddy T got absolutely jobbed by not making the Pro Bowl. He has over 1,000 yards on the season and currently has 4 straight 100+ yards rushing. He passed 10,000 career yards this season and is currently 18th on the all-time rushing list. I don't think he cares though. He aint made it in his career and he shrugs it off.
The dude is having an absolutely spectactular season and much props to him.
In other Tebow news, President George W. Bush sent Tim a hand-written letter regarding his Heisman win. It read:
Dear Tim,
Congratulations on winning the Heisman Trophy. More importantly, I appreciate your priorities as stated in your speech! Faith, family, academics and sport. If your mission was to allow the Almighty to shine brightly, it worked. I appreciate the love and pride that your parents obviously felt last night. Please give them my best.
Sincerely,
George Bush
Tim said he was honored by the letter. “That was cool,’’ Tebow said. “He wrote me a really nice letter thanking me for having my priorities right and putting God first.’’ Tebow also received a text-message from his good friend and country music star Kenny Chesney.
Thirty-four Florida State Seminoles players won't be going to the Dec. 31 Gaylord Hotels Music City Bowl against Kentucky because of an academic cheating scandal, other violations of team rules or injuries.
