Kentucky Postgame

  1. Tebow is a stud. (Hope he is not injured.)

Defense is still inept. Never can make a stop. Rely on other team to make an error or fail to convert.

    Great play calls throughout game.

    We control our destiny.

Tighten it up and let's go back to ATL!!!

  2. Elaborate Bruce. This season they have been much better about so many commercials, but today they did regress a bit and cram a few in before each end of quarter. Also I was not impressed with the number of camera angles they had. It's usually better than that.

  3. Go Gators!!! As I said before the game, it was huge. A huge win.

  4. Major Wright - broken thumb. I suppose they'll cast him up. I don't recall seeing Kyle Jackson playing so either he injured it late or just played with it. Anyone know?

I've never seen Tebow grimace before. Also, after his TD he didn't raise his arms in gesture to the crowd like he normally does. He is a tough kid and probably wouldn't say much during a game if he was really injured (he played 1.5 quarters in a high school game with a broken fibula). This worries me.

  5. Andre Caldwell is back! He played big today. Without him I don't think we win. It is huge that he is back.

Fayson continues to struggle, but he did fight nicely for that first down on third and short. Hopefully that gives him a little confidence.

Is Kestahn Moore in the dog house for that fumble against LSU?

  6. Rickerson played TERRIBLE! I guess Wondy is not as weak as some thought. Rickerson was HIGHLY touted as a pure cover corner (the last touted "cover corner" was Lito so you know the level of hype). I would guess he is just young, nervous, and out of position.

But dadgummit, I think he was looking for pizza on some of those deep balls.

  7. 6 sacks. Good stuff. Conningham really coming on.

  8. I missed most of the first quarter because CBS thought it would be a good idea to stay with the Alabama blow out. Plus i cant stand the announcers they seem to not know much.

  9. I did not see one happy hands sign. Bonus!!!

  10. Kestahn Moore is 1/2 in doghouse and 1/2 not a good running back. Better for us to use the WRs. And yes, Fayson made up for his error with that great third effort.

  11. Remember when a big deal was being made of Joiner poss. missing the LSU game. That guy does nothing worthwile that I see. I guess not playing like Rickerson is a plus for him though.

We need dang big plays on DEF and it aint happening in the secondary.

Props to the D line and linebackers.

Major Wright was handicapped. Hopefully he can still play.

  12. Kestahn Moore was running good and very hard against LSU before that fumble.

  13. That's right Bruce... you are in southern Alabama country. Texans got to watch it right from the start.

And don't get too down on Gary Danielson... he's the only one that carried our flag last year. The rest of the media was carrying the Michigan flag.

  14. Here is two different articles about the Gators. Here is the first And this one is about Tebow

  15. I completely agree with you Bruce. Verne Linguist is the freaking worst commentator. If i have to watch another 3:30 CBS game with with Gary and him I am going to break my TV. They have no clue what the hell is going on. It is almost as close as listening to Bobby Bowden. I dont care if Gary was pulling for us he still sucks.

  16. I agree with the masses and with James. G.D. is a far cry from his skills from last year. Props obviously for making the case and prob. opening the door, which really shouldn't have needed to be made, for us to be in the NCG.

Verne is just terrible and G.D. is way to quick to make calls this year. He seems so sure of himself and ends up being way premature or completely wrong. Obviously a review can go either way, but given the angles we were shown, I don't know how G.D. can say something as almost absolute. He has caught himself a few times on this also and said he'd just let the replay run its course.

Props though for the jump-pass call and he is obv. better than any other commentator, (K.H. does call a great game) but he needs to turn in up a notch rather than play grab ass with Verne.

  17. I must say though that the high number of reviews is absolutely ridiculous. And they last like five minutes. They always also seem to be trying to reverse something positive for the Gators.

You could see Meyer on the refs about this on that onside kick review. He was like, F this and let's go play.

  18. You guys with the short attention spans (you know who you all are) are too easily distracted. GD is a good color commentator. He consistently picks up formations and scheme details during the live play. He's pretty impressive. You guys haven't given any specifics...

  19. Actually Peacock did. His calls are premature and more than sometimes wrong. And both those A-holes pretty much have to constantly talk about are missed plays the week before of our losses. Which in fact just pisses me off. Last week was last week move the freak on with todays game.

  20. G.D. has once said that a play was not reviewable and was told by his staff that he was wrong. He also had no clue as to why KY didn't kick the PAT at the end of the game, the answer to which I explained in the random posts saying that if it didn't affect the outcome of the game and happened as time expired, the PAT is not attempted.

He is off the ball, but I'm not here to throw him under the bus.

Also, that coverage was prob. about 85% KY heavy. It was few and far between that we saw the Gator sideline, etc... Yes, I know that this is not so hard to understand as KY has never been ranked so high, but...

G.D. is still great, just needs to tighten up his skills a bit, sort of like our dang secondary, actually make that a ton.

  21. Yes, James, I did give specifics. The jump pass.

I also said G.D. is a great color commentator, just that he is off.

    ReplyDelete
  22. Yeah Chris, they showed the replay of the jump pass from last year's LSU game 3 times before they showed one replay of the jump pass in the game they were currently covering.

    ReplyDelete
  23. Peacock gave "pro" specifics, not "con".

That jump pass call was greatness! GD was right on. Also, what about him talking about the FS keying the pulling guard on the Tebow play-action deep?? That was $$ and he didn't even wait for the replay... he called it right when it happened.

You are going to call him out for not knowing about the extra point at the end of regulation? Did you know that rule right on the spot?

    Sugar peas!

  24. I don't make millions of dollars a year to watch football. I wish.

    ReplyDelete
  25. Yeah, he did it in Superman III.

He has to make over a million/year. Appearances, etc...

    ReplyDelete
  26. No way dude. Ever Eric Cartman made less than 1 million when he owned that amusement park.
