When you see T-shirts next year, don't say I didn't warn you. This is like when Tiger Woods withdrew from TPC Sawgrass a few weeks ago due to a "bulging disk." No lie, the reporter on The Golf Channel when covering the news said "a bulging DICK."
There are snickers all over the collge football world right now. Book it.
I think the SEC will stand pat unless multiple conferences make big moves. If the Pac 10 and Big 10 both make moves, I think the SEC may go after Miami and FSU and maybe even FSU and Clemson.
But honestly, I don't think we are gonna do diddly cuz we don't have to.
Also James, I think Notre Dame is not screwing up college football, I think the Big 10 is finally telling them to shit or get off the pot. ND is getting to the point where they need a conference more than a conference needs them. I think the Big 10 is showing them this by showing them how they will expand without them and consequently all of the ND rivalry games will become jeopardized because of the fewer non conference games the Big 10 will have. Does ND really want to lose their yearly games with Michigan, Ohio State, etc...?
I find it rather interesting, but only because we seem to be on the extremely safe side.
Well looks like Nebraska to the new Big 12 and Texas, Texas A&M, Oklahoma, Oklahoma St, Colorado, and Texas Tech to the Pac 16. Here is the website off of ESPN. So do you guys think the SEC adds anyone? http://sports.espn.go.com/ncaa/news/story?id=5268408
It should not, no one will leave till 2011 and 2012 time frame. Colorado is already gone to the PAC 10 and will go there in 2012. I bet it will be like dominoes now until there is no one left in the Big 12.
Looks like a possible Texas A&M and Oklahoma to the SEC. College football will be alot different in a year or two. This could be the beginning of the end of the BCS too.
The Southeastern Conference, reportedly keen on adding Texas A&M amid the onrush of a Big 12 shakeup, would be just as interested in luring Texas and Oklahoma but doesn't see either as a realistic option, sources with knowledge of the SEC's maneuverings have told ESPN and ESPN.com.
James I disagree. I think the entire team ran cuz it's a team. Didn't your swim coaches ever punish the entire team cuz one guy was slacking. That's what happened there guy.
Dude, sweet stuff. I hope he stays with the Heat but more importantly he is able to take care of his family. Haslem is very popular down there, 2nd only to Wade. It's a huge testament to a guy who didn't get drafted and then worked his butt off.
James I don't see how you could have seen it any other way, not that I'm claiming to be right, but you gotta think that's what it is. Create accountability to the team. You fail the team, everyone is punished. It is a basic sports movie phenomenon.
Florida program finishes No. 2 in nation Florida's athletic program will finish second in the 2009-10 Learfield Sports Directors’ Cup _ its highest finish ever. The women’s Swimming & Diving and men’s Indoor Track & Field national championships led a program record 14 Gator athletic teams among the nation’s top 10 in 2009-10, propelling Florida to second in the annual national all-sports competition. Florida last finished as high in 1997-98, when the Gator program tied for second overall.
While baseball's College World Series is not over, the top teams have already been determined. Stanford finished first overall.
esophageal spasms prompted his chest pains.
ReplyDeleteOh, now that's not gonna make the rounds on the message boards.
ReplyDeleteLet the "too much sucking on Tebow's johnson" jokes begin.
Why that?!?
Only you would have such thoughts. Only you.

Thus, it's official: Tim Tebow has been promoted to No. 3 quarterback.
ReplyDeleteI'm getting very nervous regarding all this expansion talk. ND is screwing up college football. If it ain't broke, don't fix it.

I hope you are right about our safety.
ReplyDeleteND is not flinching. They don't agree with your dire assessment of the ramifications.

ReplyDeleteFlorida receiver Hammond arrested on DUI charge
ReplyDeletedumbass
Mike Slive's courting of A&M could very well block the Big 12 South slide to the Pac 16. Masterful.
ReplyDeleteEntire team ran stadiums as punishment for Hammond today. That must mean that more of them were out partying too.
ReplyDeleteLooks like all the moves are done. So does that mean the Big 10 and Big XII switch names now, it would only make sense.

ReplyDeleteWell, a couple of times while I was swimming we all had to do stadiums because we all were out even though only 1 person was caught.
