Gary Danielson had a very good point about Tebow's throwing motion and how bad it was that he brings the ball below his waist and sort of holds it there on his windup waiting to throw. That leaves it out there like a loaf of bread waiting to be stolen. Gary repeated that many times and I couldn't agree more.
please no one post that link. It's bad enough that we have that crap linked to our school now. A suspension for the Vandy game will be what he prob. gets, but he deserves far greater.
Embarassment to the program, and although I know that crap happens in every pile, that's no excuse.
Not that there is any excuse for what he did, but they did show him getting his eye treated earlier in the game and I'm sure he did it in retaliation. A 1/2 game suspension is fair but the Georgia person who did it first should have a suspension too.
Yea I read his comments about that. They arent even comparable. What Spikes did its sad to say is common in piles like that. What Blount did was unacceptable. Not that Spikes was.
Spikes is still your boy Mike! If this became a pattern maybe we could re-evaluate, but at this point I'm sticking behind him after he serves his punishment.
BTW... he had a monster game Saturday! Let's talk about that!
Ealey says he doesn't agree with those who have said the suspension was not stiff enough. He said on Tuesday Spikes "shouldn't, I think, get suspended at all."
Bianchi brings up dirt on Mike Golic from Mike and Mike and rips him as a huge hypocrite. Full article on OrlandoSentinel.com:
In fact in a USA Today story of a few years ago, Golic seemed to be almost bragging about choking a player at the bottom of a pileup.
Golic said "anything goes" in a pileup and described a situation where an opposing player was laying on top of one of his teammates.
"I reached down and I started choking the guy; I just started squeezing," Golic told USA Today. "I was just, as we like to say, getting his attention."
Hmmm, I guess we are to assume that Golic thinks throat-grabbing is OK; but face-grabbing is not.

ReplyDeleteHalf a game against Vandy. That was pretty bad should have gotten a whole game.
ReplyDeleteI agree. It would have quieted the masses more.
ReplyDeletePretty dirty game all around. Check out this obvious late hit on Tebow that never got called. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LDvFbD7wIAg
ReplyDeleteListen to the insane comments from whichever dufus Mike from ESPN's Mike and Mike. What Spikes did is worse than Legarret Blount.
ReplyDeleteMoron Mike

ReplyDeleteUGA late hit on Tebow
ReplyDeleteI had to laugh at this comment on the EDSBS message board regarding Spikes' suspension:
ReplyDelete"I don’t understand half-game suspensions period. I guess the entire 2nd string has been suspended for quite some time now then."
The suspension is fair and sufficient.

From CNNSI. Ealey is the RB that Spikes gouged.:

Probably because he did it first
ReplyDeleteThe only reason he would make a comment like that is because he has guilt. So he either started it or did something just as bad but got away with it.

Bianchi sometimes rubs me the wrong way, but I love it when he is behind us. That was good stuff.
ReplyDeleteHas Golic commented on Bianchi's article?
ReplyDeleteOn gatorsports one of the posters sent an email of that article to him and his response to him was.
ReplyDeleteI already brought up that moment, I feel his action was worse, it's my opinion
Golic
Good find ChrisT. Now that response is completely weak!!!
